Vessel Field Engineer (Offshore Construction Vessel)

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site engineering support to Offshore Construction Management teams.
  • Monitor offshore construction and installation activities to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Review and support installation procedures, lift plans, drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate technical activities between project teams, vessel crews, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Track project progress, monitor schedules, and prepare engineering reports.
  • Support mobilization/demobilization activities and vessel operations planning.
  • Participate in HAZID, HIPA, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Maintain vessel documentation, project records, and lessons learned reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Naval, Offshore Engineering, or a related discipline Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar offshore engineering role within the Oil & Gas industry Offshore construction experience is essential Strong understanding of engineering design, construction, and installation methodologies Experience with AutoCAD and engineering software tools Good knowledge of MS Office applications Fluent in English and Azerbaijani Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving
