Reports to Head Teacher Position summary This is a full time job. A Dance&music teacher is responsible for preparation of lesson plans for differet age groups, leading different activities, taking care of children.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum integrating dance and music education for children from toddler age to six years.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster fundamental dance and music
Requirements
- through engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Plan and choreograph dance performances and routines suitable for preschool- aged children.
- Demonstrate dance techniques and movements clearly, providing effective guidance and instruction to children.
- Maintain, organize, and ensure the availability and proper condition of all music equipment, instruments, and teaching materials.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child feels confident to express themselves creatively through music and dance.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times in accordance with the school's safeguarding and health and safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom and teaching environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning, school events, performances, and cross-curricular activities.
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and participation in dance and music activities.
- Participate in school performances, celebrations, staff meetings, and professional development activities as required.

- Previous experience teaching dance and/or music to preschool or primary-aged children.
