HSSE Supervisor (Power Generation) / Electrical Safety Focus

We are currently seeking an experienced HSSE Supervisor to join a leading power generation company. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in electrical safety, who are passionate about creating a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment. The position supports HSSE implementation, site inspections, contractor management, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, and compliance with international safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a proactive HSSE culture across plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Take ownership of electrical safety, including LOTO, electrical isolation, switching activities, and high-voltage safety practices.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
- Support and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSSE awareness training.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with HSSE requirements.
- Support emergency response planning and preparedness activities.
- Prepare HSSE reports and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of HSSE experience in:
- Power Generation
- Utilities
- Industrial Plants
- Oil & Gas
- Heavy Industry
- Strong practical experience in Electrical Safety is mandatory, including:
- High Voltage (HV) / Medium Voltage (MV) systems
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Electrical Isolation
- Electrical Risk Assessments
- Safe Switching Operations
- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent internationally recognized HSSE certification.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command of English.
- Preferred Experience
- Combined HSSE and Electrical Maintenance background.
- Experience in power plants or renewable energy facilities.
- Knowledge of international HSSE standards and best practices.
